Uber announced Friday it has promoted Susan Anderson to serve as its global head of delivery.
In her new role, Anderson oversees strategy and operations for Uber Eats in over 30 countries and is a member of Uber’s executive leadership team. She is responsible for increasing the delivery platform’s marketplace efficiency, expanding partnerships with merchants and restaurants, and improving the customer experience.
Anderson formerly served as head of grocery and retail for Uber. Prior to that, she was the global head of the company’s Uber for Business unit, which allows corporate clients to use Uber’s consumer-oriented services for business rides and meals.

“Susan has worn many hats at Uber across a variety of businesses and regions, always willing to go get it and deliver in times of both need and opportunity, for Uber. Our Grocery & Retail business has hit a real inflection point under Susan’s leadership, and I’m excited to see her step into this new role,” Uber Chief Operating Officer Andrew Macdonald said in a statement.
Prior to joining Uber in 2016, Anderson worked for Amazon in the United Kingdom, where she launched that company’s Prime Now delivery service and served as category leader for baby products, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has also worked for management consulting firm Bain & Company and Capital One.
Uber had more than 170 million active users on its delivery platform and worked with 1.2 million merchants as of the first quarter of 2025, according to the company.
