Dive Insight:
The specialty grocer’s limited-time holiday products include candies and chocolates, beverages, desserts as well as health and wellness products.
Treats include a holiday bark collection pack with flavors like sugar cookie, salted caramel, cookie and candy and peppermint crunch; mini chocolate dipped coconut rolls with sprinkles; white chocolate and peppermint popcorn; chocolate peppermint rolled wafers; Santa hats made of waffle cones filled with peppermint dark chocolate; and classic sugar cookies.
Beverages consist of hot tea bombs made with white chocolate, hibiscus cranberry herb tea and white chocolate peppermint bark coffee available as ground coffee or in Eco Pods. Peppermint body care products, including hand cream and handwash, are also available.
Sprouts has been expanding its private label items across store categories in recent years. The company’s store brand sales grew 12% during the financial quarter ended July 2, reaching 20% of total sales.
As consumers continue to grapple with inflation ahead of the holiday season, grocers are working to lessen the load with discounted items. For Thanksgiving, Aldi announced price reductions on more than 70 seasonal staples that will debut Nov. 1 and last until the end of 2023.
