Outgoing Ahold Delhaize CFO Natalie Knight will become executive vice president and CFO of multinational automaker Stellantis later this year, according to a Wednesday press release.
Ahold Delhaize announced in January that Knight intended to leave the Netherlands-based grocer to pursue another job in the U.S., adding that she would remain with the retailer for six months to fulfill a notification requirement. Knight arrived at Ahold Delhaize in early 2020 after serving as CFO of Arla Foods, a Danish dairy supplier.
“With her experience and demonstrated business transformation leadership, including a clear ESG focus, she is exactly the right leader to continue accelerating Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategy,” Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said in a statement, referring to the company’s plan to double its net revenues by 2030 compared with 2021. “I’m convinced that she will play a strategic role in setting the new impetus and unleashing the great potential of Stellantis’ value.”
Knight, who will assume her new role by July 10, will be based in Stellantis’ Auburn Hills, Michigan, office. She will replace Richard Palmer, who intends to depart on June 30 after 20 years working for the automaker, according to the press release.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, Stellantis was formed in 2021 through the merger of French automaker Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles of Italy. The company produces vehicles under a range of brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Ram, Opel and Maserati.
Stellantis posted net revenues of 179.6 billion euros ($196.8 billion) in 2022. By comparison, Ahold Delhaize brought in net sales of 87 billion euros ($95.3 billion) last year across its operations, which include U.S. supermarket banners Giant Food, Hannaford, The Giant Company, Food Lion and Stop & Shop.
