- The Raley’s Companies has named Paul Gianetto, senior vice president of merchandising and sales for the past seven years for Raley’s, as president of Raley’s Operating Division, according to a Wednesday announcement.
- The company also promoted Natalie Slatter to vice president of store operations for the Raley’s unit. Slatter previously served as executive director of operations solutions and communications.
- This is the second executive change announcement The Raley’s Companies has made this week. On Monday, the company named its first chief growth and transformation officer and appointed a new senior vice president of product and merchandising innovation.

In the new role, Gianetto will oversee the performance and growth of Raley’s 119 stores across California and Nevada as well as the Natomas Distribution operations, the announcement said. He will also continue to lead the sales and merchandising functions for Raley’s.
Gianetto will report to Keith Knopf, president and CEO of The Raley’s Companies.
Gianetto brings more than three decades of experience to the division president role. He joined Raley’s in 2008 and became the grocery banner’s VP of center store in 2017 and then SVP of merchandising and sales the following year.
At the end of 2021, Raley’s completed its acquisition of Arizona-based Bashas’ and formed a new entity called The Raley’s Companies to oversee both grocers with separate operating divisions.
Prior to Raley’s, Gianetto was a pricing retail consultant for Revionics, a provider of retail price optimization software and pricing analytics. He also worked at Ralphs Grocery Company for more than two decades, which included serving as a dairy and deli director and senior director of non-perishables, his LinkedIn profile listed.
“Paul is an outstanding and proven executive. Over the past 16 years, Paul has shaped Raley’s strategies and proven to be an excellent servant leader. Always seeking to put the health of our customers and the success of our team members at the forefront,” Knopf said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Slatter will lead the store operations for all of Raley’s stores and oversee operations solutions and communications in her new role.
Slatter joined Raley’s in 1999 as a night baker at its Bel Air banner and served in a variety of roles including as a store director and director of operational excellence.
